Meet Lauren.

People Lover. Yoga Teacher.

Hey there, my friend!

I’m Lauren, Founder and Teacher of LULOA Yoga, and I want to personally welcome you to this site.

I am so glad you’re here - actually, I’m ecstatic you’re here, because never in my wildest dreams did I think I would own a yoga studio, much less one that is fully remote!

I suppose part of what makes this such a surprising reality is because teaching yoga is a second career for me - a very different second career.

With a background in accounting (huge math nerd, here!) and risk management, I spent years climbing the corporate ladder only to be left a frazzled mess - chain smoking cigarettes, drinking way too much wine, and knowing I was created for more, but clueless as to what that more was.

But enter providence, and I soon stumbled my way into a yoga class and knew it was different. Fast forward years later and I became a certified yoga teacher, began teaching part-time, and then fully exited corporate life in 2016. However, it wasn’t until the pandemic of 2020 that my “more” was realized.

For five years I taught yoga part-time, never fully committing a full-time effort because…well, I don’t know why. It was during the stillness of the pandemic when I, like so many others, found myself without work wondering, what next?

It was then, in that pandemic season, when I felt God tapping me on the shoulder saying, This. This is your more.

I have always believed I was created for two things in this world: to love God first, and then love people. And for me, Yoga is the conduit through which I’m able to do the latter. It is my more.

I am beyond grateful that I get to share this practice, and if I can help you feel better - physically, mentally, emotionally - through the teaching of yoga, then I have fulfilled my purpose, my calling, my more.

I so hope you will join me on the mat sometime soon. I’d love to see your face!

Blessings & Namaste

Lauren
