The LULOA Yoga Difference: More Than A Name
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God…” - 1 John 4:7
LULOA Yoga is more than just the name of a yoga studio. The acronym is a call to action. A call to servant hood. A call to Let Us Love One Another.
In a world where division is rampant and individualism is prioritized, LULOA Yoga embodies the belief that we should all dare to be different through acts of kindness and service to all we encounter, whether known or stranger, whether we agree or disagree, and, perhaps the most challenging, whether we like the person or not.
This doesn’t mean we abandon care for ourselves or ignore healthy boundaries. Rather, we opt to choose service over self.
LULOA Yoga is rooted in the core belief that each individual - regardless of ethnicity, belief system, gender, political persuasion, or other distinction - is called to care for their fellow person.
We may not always get it right and we may not change the world, but through a commitment to this type of radical servanthood we can positively influence our corner of the world and that is always right.
Embodying the LULOA Yoga Difference:
-
LULOA Yoga was born out of service to others. As a way of giving back to people within my sphere of influence. I taught free online yoga classes for over a year throughout the global pandemic.
That same servant spirit is what breathed life into this online studio and is what steers the type of offerings available, pricing, and resources shared.
-
Creating a real sense of community within the LULOA Yoga family is paramount to me. That’s why we will convene throughout the year for two types of in-person gatherings: local adventures like a hike or other outdoor activity, and service-based volunteer events at a local NFP organization.
-
I believe love in action is one of the most powerful forces for good. That’s why 10% of all gross revenue is donated to charitable organizations whose values and mission align with those of LULOA Yoga.
